WHAT WE DO
Our Programs & Initiatives
One nonprofit, many roots. Each initiative serves the land, the children, and the community it grows from — and each one is a way in.
NEW · STARTS 4 NOVEMBER
Family Gardening Program
A six-week program for families, in the gardens together — sowing, tending and harvesting through the season, with hands in the soil from the first week.
Wednesdays, 4:30–6:30pm
Six weeks, starting 4 November
Ages 4 and up
Step Up accepted
EDUCATION
Educational Nature Co-Op
An outdoor nature program for children ages 5–14. Days are spent in the gardens and with the animals — planting, harvesting, feeding and tending — alongside nature art, music, and long unhurried stretches in the forest.
It is a sugar-free, child-led environment. Children move between the gardens, the animals, the workshop and the trees, and the land does much of the teaching.
PERMACULTURE
Permaculture Demonstration Site
The farm is a working demonstration of regenerative design — food forests, organic production, raised beds, rotational animal systems, water harvesting and ongoing invasive-species removal.
It is tended by our farm steward and shaped by everyone who works it. Nothing here is display only; the land feeds people, and the design is judged by whether it works.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Precious Plastic Recycling
A community recycling initiative turning waste plastic into useful goods — collecting, sorting, shredding and remaking material into products people actually want.
As much as anything it is a teaching programme: a hands-on circular-economy skillset that shows children and adults where their waste really goes and what can be done with it.
GATHER
Membership Events
Farmer’s markets, song circles, breathwork and sound baths, workshops and seasonal celebrations — the rhythms that bring our community together on the land.
Our gatherings are held within our private membership association. Signing the venue waiver welcomes you in as a member, and from then on the land is open to you. Breathwork sessions need a second waiver as well, the facilitator’s own — sign the breathwork waiver.
GIVE TIME
Volunteer Program
Community workdays on the land — planting, building, tending animals, clearing invasives, setting up for events and putting it all away again.
No experience needed. Bring water, closed shoes and a willingness to get your hands in the soil. Come once to see how it feels, or make it a rhythm.
VISIT
Permaculture Tours
Walk the land with our steward and see regenerative design at work — what is planted where, why it is planted that way, what failed on the way here and what replaced it.
Good for schools and youth groups, garden clubs, other growers, and anyone planning a project of their own who would rather learn from someone else’s mistakes.
FAMILIES
Homeschool Day-Out
A public meet-up and drop-off day for homeschooling families. Children spend the day outdoors on the farm — in the gardens, with the animals, making things, running about.
Parents are welcome to stay and join in, or use the drop-off and take the hours back. This one is open beyond our co-op families.
NOT SURE WHERE YOU FIT?
Come and see the place.
Most people arrive at one of our events, sign the waiver, and find their own way in from there. If you would rather just ask a question first, we would love to hear from you.
